BIDDING BEGINS

It does appear that among the many things that President Donald Trump was serious about, the border wall on the southern border was one of them. He says that we are ahead of schedule. I don't remember ever seeing a schedule. But apparently we are ahead of it.
One of the CBP (Customs and Border Protection) contract requests calls for a solid concrete wall, while the other asks for proposals for a see-through structure. Both require the wall to sunk at least six feet into the ground and include 25- and 50-foot automated gates for pedestrians and vehicles. The proposed wall must also be built in a such a way that it would take at least an hour to cut through it with a "sledgehammer, car jack, pick axe, chisel, battery operated impact tools, battery operated cutting tools, Oxy/acetylene torch or other similar hand-held tools."

TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME

It is not so uncommon for approximately half the country to be disappointed in the results of a Presidential Election. It happens nearly 100% of the time. I am fairly certain that people like me were disappointed in the election results in 2008 and 2012. It does appear that half the country is a more than a little disappointed this time. Many people seem to be deranged. This past weekend, a woman with Trump Derangement Syndrome needed to be removed from a commercial plane as she was screaming at a fellow passenger. Did this happen, even once, anywhere when the previous president was in office? Were there riots by conservatives in the streets of Washington, D.C. on the very same day when the previous president was inaugurated?  Do conservatives riot anywhere for any issue at any time ever? Were any SNL writers sending tweets, publishing essays or telling jokes about either of the two daughters of our previous president? Aside from being within the first 100 days of a new president, we are within the first 100 hours. I do not believe that there is a cure for TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome)  It is much more likely that this epidemic will spread. I think that the only thing for the rest of us to do, is to do what we usually do when faced with these intellectual giants - we must ignore them when we can.  If TDS leads to people breaking the law, for example, disrupting commercial flights and rioting in streets - these people must be stopped and arrested.  The woman caught on video screaming about Trump and gravity and other such nonsense that needed to be removed from the airplane is probably a 'hero' to many lefties around the country. Let's all hope that she receives some help so that she can function in society - she clearly will never be cured.

People with TDS, will not have a good sense of humor about this latest fake product from Lego.

TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME FROM 'INTELLECTUAL' DICK CAVETT.

Here are two of the latest 'tweets' from a bitter lefty, Dick Cavett. In one tweet he 'attacks' Kellyane Conway for the outfit she wore to the inauguration.  Making fun of a woman''s outfit in such a public forum - is that misogynistic?  What is wrong with Dick Cavett?  Does he hate women? That couldn't be because according to all the lefty liberals, Trump is the misogynist. Lefty liberals definitionally can't be misogynistic - they are  much too loving and kind. More likely, it is just  a mean-spirited, bitter rant from a hateful liberal lefty.

In the second tweet, Cavett takes issue with the fact that Sean Spicer is white. When did being white become a crime? What could possibly be more racist than to be concerned about race? It is hard to know what the point is about being so concerned that Sean Spicer is white. This is what TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) can do to someone. It completely distorts logical thinking, and sometimes it exposes one's true irrational racist tendencies.

Did Dick Cavett dislike Hillary Clinton because she is white? Did Dick Cavett ever make fun of the pantsuits that Hillary Clinton exclusively wears? I have no way of knowing the answer to these two questions, but I will guess that the answer is 'no'. There is probably not a human being on planet earth that would disagree with my assessment.

  1. Kelllyane, at last, a compliment. Loved your wearing for the Inauguration your Halloween "Trick or Treat" costume. Get much candy?
  2. Thanks CENTRAL CASTING for finding Sean, my new press sec'y. He's perfect. Soul for sale, doesn't read, charisma-free, not a woman, white.

WRIGLEY FIELD

Perhaps you have heard about all the emotional tributes written in colorful chalk on the bricks that are on the outside of Wrigley Field. Apparently this is a new tradition. On Sunday morning, I walked over to Wrigley Field as I wanted a photo of myself in front of the World Champions Marquee sign in front of the building. The most popular spot to take a photo in front of the chalk messages was the photo that I am posting below. WE DID NOT SUCK 2016. Perhaps not the most inspiring message ever written, but for Cubs fans, it seemed to resonate with a lot of people. There must have been at least 3000 people milling about the stadium on Sunday morning, doing precisely what I was doing, taking photographs.

.
The walk to Wrigley Field from my home is just under 4 miles. My urban hikes tend to be closer to ten miles when the time permits and the weather is cooperative. Sunday morning, was such a day. The extra hour of sleep allowed for an early start after lounging around a bit in the morning. By the time my Wrigley Field urban hike was completed, I had logged 13 miles. Always an excellent way to start a day.

Cubs Fans Begin New Tradition Writing Emotional Tribute Messages On Wrigley Wall

October 31, 2016 4:53 PM By Vince Gerasole
.
CHICAGO (CBS) —  A new tradition is underway at Wrigley Field. Normally, in front of the ballpark at the Clark and Addison intersection, you’ll see fans screaming, “Go Cubs!” But on the other side of the ballpark, a quieter and unexpectedly emotional tribute to the Cubs is taking form. Letter by letter and brick by brick, with colored chalk, fans are leaving their mark. “I am putting ‘finish strong’ because that’s what needs to happen,” resident Eric Pitts says.“I am dedicating it to all my grandparents,” Edgewater resident Sam Barnes says. “I am trying not to chock up, honestly, because I remember growing up watching the games with them. “It’s impressive. It just happened naturally,” Pitts says of the new tradition. Now overnight, the Sheffield [and Waveland] side of Wrigley has turned into one emotional place. “Baseball and family. That’s what it’s all about,” Pitts said. And more often than not, it’s what they’re writing about.“We got a ‘Bobbo’ here with hearts and arrows,” fan and West Dundee resident Julie Spindler says. The Korean War kept her dad from playing with the Cubs. “I just know he’s here,” she says. Beside a brick wall, she feels his embrace. The love and the energy coming from the building; it’s not just the wall it’s the building. And somehow, in spite of all the celebrations, a quiet side of Wrigley, Monday, is speaking volumes.“If these walls could talk and now they kind of sort of are,” one fan says. The wall is growing at such a spontaneous pace that the Cubs tell us they haven’t had a chance to take it all in yet. But you can if you take a stroll down Sheffield [or Waveland].
