Warren Returns To Tribe In Shame After Failing To Take Land Back From The Pale Faces

CHEROKEE NATION—Having dropped out of the presidential race, Elizabeth Warren rode in solitude back to her reservation, having failed to take the land back from the pale faces.

"I am sorry, my people. I have failed," she said somberly, a single tear rolling down her cheek. "The white man still holds our land, and the very trees cry out against them. May Great Spirit grant us another chance in 4 harvests." The Cherokee people looked confused, so she clarified: "That means years according to the Indian talk book I picked up."

The Cherokee expressed mixed emotions at seeing Warren return, from "Who are you?" to "How many times do we have to tell you that if you're not gonna play some slots at the casino, then you're gonna need to leave?"

Warren nodded, accepting her banishment from her once-great place among the Cherokee people. "I accept my punishment and vow never to return until the sun once again never sets on the Cherokee Nation. As I depart, let me simply ask you if you have ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon? Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grins?"

"Wait, now you're just quoting Pocahontas," one tribal security guard said. "Alright, lady, let's go. The buffet is having crab legs tonight but other than that you're gonna have to scram."

At publishing time, Warren had sought advice from Grandmother Willow as to who it is that she should endorse.

I am 'publishing' this page before I sit down to watch the debate...
I cannot fathom that Bloomberg will increase his poll numbers.
The guy may be a billionaire - but it does not make him a genius.
I know that this an unpopular opinion.
The guy has zero charisma.
Charisma is important.
Bernie may be nuts, but at least he is interesting.
Bloomberg is also nuts, and he is not interesting....

Let's talk politics... In previous years posting every day, I enjoyed dipping into some political pontificating.... It's time to rediscover that.

President Biden? Perhaps of his condo association, not President of the United States of America

On Tuesday night the State of New Hampshire held a primary which will signal the end of the Presidential aspirations of Joe Biden.  The man deserves to be enjoying his retirement and the many millions of dollars immorally 'earned' by him and his family.

Here is a whopper of a lie from Vice President Biden:

From the very beginning, Biden claimed that he did not desire the endorsement of President Barack Obama.  This was so patently untrue - that a person would have to be medically brain-dead to believe it.  If it were true that Biden asked Obama not to endorse him - then it would be demonstrably proven that the guy is far too stupid to be President.  So either he is a bad liar or dumber than a box of rocks.
Relax everyone, it is possible that he is both.

President Obama was paid $400,000 for a 90 minute speech last week. A conservative like me might wonder, what he could possibly say that was so worthy of receiving this much money. We live in a system, capitalism, where someone's pay is based on finding someone willing to pay it. Lefty liberals have a different response.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) last week said she was "troubled" by the speaking fee the former president is reportedly receiving for that appearance. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) also expressed disappointment in the former president's decision.

Here is my question to both Senator Warren and Senator Sanders. So what? If an organization wants to pay Obama this much money for a speech - how does this adversely affect anyone else?  No seriously, I want to know why this is a problem?  For example, am I to believe that current 'American Indian' Senator and a future ex-President, Elizabeth Warren would turn down such a fee? Sure, and I believe that fairy dust can make one fly. 

Could these two have beat Trump last November?  I believe they could have.  A scary thought indeed.

SOMETIMES YOU ARE THE NUT

The 'showdown' in the Senate is upcoming by week's end... The Republicans want an 'up and down' vote on Judge Gorsich and the Democrats want to prevent this vote with a filibuster.

This is what Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said on the Senate floor, November 2013 when Republicans were stalling the votes on some Democrat appointments with their own fillibusters.

“We need to call out these filibusters for what they are: naked attempts to nullify the results of the last presidential election. To force us to govern as though President Obama hadn’t won the 2012 election. Well, President Obama did win the 2012 election by five million votes, and he has done what the Constitution requires him to do.”.

BASICALLY, I AGREE WITH HER.... Her statement just needs a tweak to two....

We need to call out these filibusters for what they are: naked attempts to nullify the results of the last presidential election. To force us to govern as though President TRUMP hadn't won the 2016 election. Well, President TRUMP did win the 2016 election by 74 electoral college votes, and he has done what the Constitution requires him to do.

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is obviously a true patriot. She honors the Senate by her mere presence and has an unwavering reverence for the United States Constitution. She understands that the winner of the Presidential Election has the right to have their nominees voted on and not blocked by filibusters of the minority who have lost an election. I agree with her completely. The only problem is that she does not agree with herself anymore. She apparently no longer thinks that filibusters are naked attempt to nullify the results of elections. That's called a '180'. Well....you know what they say, "Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't."  Sometimes you are the nut.

CHEROKEE PARK

My travels took me to LaGrange, Kentucky on Thursday afternoon. Before I headed north back to Indiana, I stopped at Cherokee Park in Louisville.

Cherokee Park is a 409-acre (166 ha) municipal park located in Louisville, Kentucky,United States and is part of the Louisville Olmsted Parks Conservancy. It was designed in 1891 by Frederick Law Olmsted, the father of landscape architecture along with 18 of Louisville's 123 parks. Beargrass Creek runs through much of the park, and is crossed by numerous pedestrian and automobile bridges. According to The Trust for Public Land, Cherokee Park has 500,000 visitors annually, making it tied for the 69th most popular municipal park in the United States. The park features a 2.4 mile Scenic Loop through the park's pastoral setting featuring rolling hills, open meadows and woodlands with separate lanes for vehicle traffic (one-way) and recreational users. Cherokee Park opened in 1891, has always been a major draw, and was a key factor in sparking development in nearby parts of town.

Cherokee Park was only the beginning and end of my hike. I probably hiked only 5 miles within the park. My complete hike was fifteen miles.

My hike in Cherokee Park made me think about Senator Elizabeth Warren. She is the 'rocket scientist' from Massachusetts that claims to be an American Indian since she thinks that her great, great, great, great, great, Grandfather was an Indian. Yep, she claims to be an American Indian because she claims to be 1/64th American Indian. And 'they' in the media, and the elite universities of this great country said Sarah Palin was stupid! Since I have now hiked in a park called CHEROKEE PARK - does that make me an American Indian? Now that I have given this more careful thought, I have come to the conclusion that Me and Elizabeth Warren have one thing in common - We are both NOT American Indians. Wait, I have given this still more thought.  Maybe we DO have something in common.  Since it is widely believed that the cradle of civilization, emanated from Africa, perhaps me and Elizabeth Warren are both AFRICAN AMERICANS.  Yeah, that's the ticket. (Now you know why Donald Trump derisively calls this phony - Pocahontas)

Christensen Fountain, a unique water feature given to the city by Margarethe Christensen in honor of her late mother, Paulina Christensen. As a child, Christensen immigrated to the United States from Denmark with her family and settled in Louisville. The Christensen Fountain, modeled after a Viking ship and emblazoned with the Danish coat of arms, reflects the family's country of origin, and was indeed inspired by the memorial stone piles that were erected during the Viking Age. 

Christensen Fountain was designed to fit into the hillside and blend in with its surrounding landscape. After its unveiling in October of 1901, The Courier-Journal provided readers with a description of the fountain that emphasizes its relationship to its location: "It is constructed of weather-worn and moss-grown, unhewn stone, of shapes selected to form the desired outline. The stone being taken from near the site, the constructed parts, when weather-worn, will be the same color as the natural rock beds now protruding from the hill surrounding the fountain." 

In its own way, Christensen Fountain reinforces Frederick Law Olmsted's (1822-1903) overarching belief that parks should be constructed to appear natural and not overworked by landscape design. It also combines features of other public works in Louisville, including the large basin originally intended to hold water for horses and the nearby benches for tired park visitors. In 2004, the Fountain underwent a restoration project sponsored by the Louisville Olmsted Parks Conservancy and Louisville Metro.

Don't try this at home. LaGrange, Kentucky
My purpose of visiting Kentucky was to see a customer in LaGrange. This town is famous for the fact that an active freight train comes right down through downtown on Main Street approximately 25 times per days, morning, afternoon and night. It is unnerving to see a freight train of scores and scores of freight cars traveling right on main street.  While I was with my customer, I rushed out to take this photo and video.
