IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EASY...

...to just skip my exercise walk yesterday. (Regular readers of my blog know that I don't always do things that are easy.) I was up at 4:00AM Central Time, to be on my way by 5:30AM for a 10:00AM appointment in Indianapolis. (I 'lose' an hour going east from Chicago to Indiana as I cross from the Central Time Zone into the Eastern Time Zone.) My appointment was productive and there was plenty of good conversation that made the day zip by quickly. Although my customer and I are on opposite sides of the political fence, we were even able to discuss the deeply flawed candidates representing the two major parties. We discussed all kinds of selling, including internet selling and we discussed diet, exercise and weight loss.  In between all of that, buttons, trims and fabrics were shown and sold.  When I left the store, I made a quick detour to Whole Foods to pick up a couple of snacks. Then I had to drive about three hours to my hotel in Columbus, Ohio. By the time I checked in, I flipped on the TV to see what was going on at the DNC (Democratic National Convention)  Megyn Kelly of Fox News was busy promoting the upcoming speech by Bill Clinton. I probably could have excused myself if I decided not to lace up my sneakers and head out for a walk in the darkness. The allure of watching President Clinton extolling the virtues of his wife was not enough to keep me inside. I would have been easy to just skip the walk - but that is not my way. So, at 10PM (Eastern Time) in a day that had begun for me 17 hours earlier - I headed out for a five mile walk.

The late night walk around the 'neighborhood', surrounding the Travelodge Motel in Reynoldsburg, Ohio did not offer too many sight seeing opportunities. I guess the high point of interesting things I saw was this JCPennys Distribution center. There must have been a lot of people working inside this huge facility as one of the parking lots was filled with cars.
