CIGARETTE SMOKING MAN

It is expected that President Donald Trump will authorize the memo some time today which will show that the FBI, did in fact, have a bias against Trump and has behaved in a dishonorable way during the most recent presidential election campaign. Who is responsible for this? Mueller? Comey? I think it was Cigarette Smoking Man. Conspiracies always seem ridiculous, until they are proven true. Our FBI has been tainted. One more way that Obama, weaponized parts of the government against his political enemies. We are very fortunate to have Donald Trump sitting behind the Resolute Desk these days.

Cigarette Smoking Man
Fictional character
Cigarette Smoking Man is a fictional character and one of the primary antagonists of the Fox science fiction-supernatural television series The X-Files. He serves as the arch-nemesis of FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder.

FBI

Our country is really in trouble if the FBI cannot be trusted. I grew up in an an America and in an era when the integrity of the FBI was never questioned. That era is gone. Right now, there is a Special Counsel, Robert Mueller, former Director of the FBI, who is investigating the perpetrators of a crime that never happened: so-called Russia investigation. It is becoming increasingly clear that the purpose of the Mueller investigation is to diminish the Presidency of Donald Trump or somehow prematurely end the Presidency of Donald Trump. Here's the deal, Democrats do not enjoy losing elections (by the way, Republicans don't enjoy it too much either - they have just 'benefited' from more practice in recent national elections). When Democrats lose an election, the election is not over. Remember when George Bush beat internet-inventor Al Gore? There are still plenty of dopes out there convinced that the election was stolen by Bush and miscounted chads. It didn't matter a whit that no matter how many times, how many organizations, including The New York Times and the rest of the media independently counted ballots in Florida, their guy, Al Gore lost, and George Bush won. Facts are not interesting to Democrats. Just because there was not a Russian collusion to install Trump does not stop mind-numbed robots from believing it. And the FBI looks like they might be part of this conspiracy. This is not good for America. Our previous President, Barack Obama, 'weaponized' the IRS. Remember how the IRS targeted conservative groups and denied them 501-C status? Did the media give a damn about that? Nope. In fact, they supported it. It appears that the FBI has been 'weaponized' as well. This country is in trouble.

Democrats like democracy and open and fair elections (when their candidate wins)
Democrats have no use for democracy open and fair elections (when their candidate loses)

The real 'crime' that Robert Mueller is investigating is this: DONALD TRUMP WON THE ELECTION IN NOVEMBER 2016.

GOP escalates law enforcement probes as Russia inquiry heats up

With Mueller now focusing on the president, lawmakers level new charges of bias and even potential criminal misconduct.

01/23/2018 08:17 PM EST
.

Amid new signs that special counsel Robert Mueller is pursuing an obstruction of justice case against President Donald Trump, Republicans in Congress have intensified their own investigations of the Justice Department's and FBI's handling of inquiries into Trump’s ties to Russia.
Tuesday brought several dramatic developments in the Russia saga, including the news that Mueller recently interviewed Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the first Cabinet official known to be questioned in the investigation. The New York Times also reported that former FBI Director James Comey was interviewed by Mueller last year.
But even as Mueller showed apparent momentum, Republicans made new charges of political bias and even potential criminal misconduct in the nation’s top law enforcement agencies.
On Fox News, Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), chairman of the House committee that oversees the Justice Department and FBI, alleged an anti-Trump “conspiracy” by FBI agents whose text message exchanges have been made public in selective bursts by GOP lawmakers.
“Some of these texts are very disturbing,” Goodlatte said, adding, “They illustrate a conspiracy on the part of some people, and we want to know a lot more about that.”
Republicans have been particularly incensed by a new revelation from the FBI that five months of text messages between a senior counterintelligence agent in the bureau, Peter Strzok — who was dismissed from Mueller’s team for unspecified reasons in July — and FBI attorney Lisa Page appear to be missing. The bureau revealed to Congress over the weekend that it hadn’t retained the messages, which officials attributed to technical problems with the bureau’s storage system.
Meanwhile, congressional Republicans pushing to release a secret memo they have drafted based on classified intelligence — which they claim reveals anti-Trump bias in the FBI — got a boost on Tuesday from the White House, which called for “full transparency” on the issue.
Separately, a GOP lawmaker on the House Judiciary Committee indicated that there were plans to recall Comey to testify about his handling of the 2016 investigation into Hillary Clinton.
Congressional Democrats say it’s no accident that the GOP probes have escalated as Mueller has homed in on Trump’s top allies. Reps. Adam Schiff of California, Jerry Nadler of New York and Elijah Cummings of Maryland, the top Democrats on three GOP-led committees unearthing internal FBI documents, say the Republican efforts smack of a partisan campaign to protect the president and sully the investigators who have questioned his behavior.
“Republicans are now attacking the FBI in order to undermine Special Counsel Mueller and protect President Trump, but their claims are directly at odds with the facts,” the three Democrats said in a joint statement on Tuesday afternoon.
Republicans have seized on text messages between Strzok and Page that were recently turned over by the Justice Department. In batches posted by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and described on Fox News by Reps. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and John Ratcliffe (R-Texas), the agents have been portrayed as politically biased against Trump, with some ambiguous messages characterized as evidence that their official actions may have been tainted by partisan animus.
In one exchange, Strzok and Page indicated that the Justice Department and FBI knew Clinton would escape charges in the investigation of her handling of classified information even before the FBI interviewed her.
In an interview, Ratcliffe said that exchange, among others, called into question Comey’s testimony before the committee in September 2016, when he said the bureau didn’t decide against prosecuting Clinton until after her official interview. Ratcliffe, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, said he expected the committee to demand a new interview with Comey to reconcile those “inconsistencies.”
“There’s a mountain of evidence — a growing mountain of evidence — that seems entirely inconsistent with what he said under oath,” said Ratcliffe, a former U.S. attorney who has become a central player in the committee’s investigation of the FBI’s conduct in 2016.
“He may have testified truthfully, but there’s a lot of stuff that says that he didn’t,” Ratcliffe continued, adding: “Trust me: He will either appear and testify or he will exercise his Fifth Amendment right” against self-incrimination.
Ratcliffe said that recalling Comey might have to wait until lawmakers can interview other witnesses and review up to 1.2 million relevant documents that the Justice Department has begun turning over in batches. But the House Intelligence Committee is mounting a more immediate push to make public a classified memo that Republicans have indicated will provide evidence of misconduct by FBI officials in their handling of a surveillance program that was used to spy on a Trump campaign aide in 2016.
As early as next Wednesday, the panel is expected to employ a never-before-used process to disclose the memo, put together by staff of its chairman, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.). If it does, Trump will have up to five days to either approve or reject their decision. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders declined to say what Trump would do, but she endorsed “full transparency.”
“We certainly support full transparency, and we believe that’s at the House Intel Committee to make that choice at this point,” Sanders said at the White House press briefing on Tuesday.
Democrats who have viewed the memo have rejected it as a compilation of “distortions” that misrepresents the underlying intelligence it’s based on.
In the middle of the increasingly pitched partisan offensives, the FBI announced that chief of staff James Rybicki — a former member of Comey’s close-knit team — would leave the agency and be replaced by an ally of Comey’s successor, Christopher Wray.
Rybicki was interviewed last week by the House oversight and judiciary committees, and lawmakers involved in the interview say they didn’t believe that anything in his testimony precipitated his departure. But a Democrat who was in the room said he worried that the grilling Rybicki and others have faced could have a chilling effect on the activity of FBI officials.
“What I really fear, ultimately, is the administration is beginning to force out or drive out of the FBI people that they perceive to be unfriendly to the administration or somehow politically not in alignment with them,” the Democrat said in a phone interview.
“We cannot have a situation where we’re administering loyalty test to officials at the FBI,” he said, adding that that’s “what differentiates the FBI here from law enforcement in banana republics.”

THERE IS NO JOY IN MUDVILLE

Have you ever seen anyone in the media so happy reporting a story damaging to a sitting president and to the United States of America? When Joy Behar read the (fake) news story released by Brian Ross of ABC, she was positively giddy with joy and so was her moronic studio audience which erupted in cheers. She announced that 'Christmas had come early.'

Sorry Joy, Santa giveth, and Santa taketh away.

Never mind, that the story, if true, might indeed have been explosive. Certainly, stock traders thought so, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average immediately dropped 350 points. One snag crept through, the story was completely false. The (fake) story as initially reported claimed that General Flynn had agreed to cooperate with Special Counsel Robert Mueller and testify that presidential candidate Donald Trump had ordered him to contact the Russians. There it was. the glorious smoking gun. The proof that the ridiculous story told and re-told by every moron in America was true. One minor change to the story, deflated the importance of the story. What General Flynn did agree to do was cooperate with Special Counsel Robert Mueller and testify that president-elect Donald Trump had ordered him to contact the Russians. You see the conundrum here, yes? It is nearly impossible to collude with The Russians to get oneself elected AFTER the election. Sorry, Joy Behar, you lefty loon, you hateful despicable, might I say, deplorable dolt. Christmas did not come come early. Although one might argue that purveyors of truth might have gotten an early Christmas gift, as disgraceful Brain Ross has been suspended without pay for four weeks. Yep, there is no joy in mudville, mighty Brian Ross has struck out.

Enjoy this photo of Brian Ross, as you won't be seeing him on TV for the next month. Apparently fake news isn't quite as acceptable these days as it used to be. After all, when a fake news story is reported, we have a president who has the guts to point it out in an immediate tweet.

It was really kinda sad to see all those happy people all across our great nation enjoying one of the most happiest days of their lives - only to have that joy swept away once it was evident that their joy was emanating from yet another fake news story.

I have never shaved my head. Even this look, represents my trip to the barber where I requested my 'hair' be cut to the length of 1/2 mm. I suppose this would be what a shaved head would look like soon after a shaving ones head. Basically, it's five o'clock shadow on ones scalp.

ABC News suspends Brian Ross for 4 weeks over erroneous Flynn story
.

ABC News announced Saturday that it has suspended investigative reporter Brian Ross for four weeks without pay after Ross was forced to correct a bombshell on-air report about Michael Flynn.
"We deeply regret and apologize for the serious error we made yesterday. The reporting conveyed by Brian Ross during the special report had not been fully vetted through our editorial standards process," ABC said in a statement. "As a result of our continued reporting over the next several hours ultimately we determined the information was wrong and we corrected the mistake on air and online." "It is vital we get the story right and retain the trust we have built with our audience -- these are our core principles," the statement added. "We fell far short of that yesterday." Citing a single anonymous source, Ross told viewers during an ABC special report on Friday morning that Flynn was prepared to testify that Donald Trump, as a candidate for president, told him to contact Russians. During Friday's edition of "World News Tonight," Ross walked back his report, telling viewers that the source who had provided the initial information for his story later told him that it was as president-elect, not as a candidate, that Trump asked Flynn to contact Russians..
An ABC News tweet about the report was retweeted about 25,000 times before being deleted. Ross' incorrect report prompted a dramatic reaction in the financial markets, and the Dow fell more than 350 points. Stocks largely recovered later in the day. CNN had initially reached out to ABC News early Friday afternoon to ask why Ross' initial reporting was not included in the network's online story about Flynn pleading guilty for lying to the FBI. Hours later, a spokesperson told CNN a correction was forthcoming. But ABC News initially attempted to downplay the mistake, referring to its correction as a "clarification" on "World News Tonight" and then online. After a barrage of criticism, the network changed the language online from "clarification" to "correction." Saturday evening's statement further ramped up the language; the network now calls it a "serious error." Ross commented later Saturday night. "My job is to hold people accountable and that's why I agree with being held accountable myself," he tweeted.Shortly after that, President Trump weighed in, tweeting his "congratulations" to ABC News for suspending Ross. Multiple ABC News employees, speaking on the condition of anonymity because they weren't publicly authorized to discuss the matter, told CNNMoney on Saturday there was internal embarrassment over the blunder. "It's a major embarrassment," one ABC News employee said. "It makes me cringe," echoed another. "This is not what any networks needs when people are so quick to say 'fake news' to you. It makes me sick to my stomach." This is not the first high-profile mistake by Ross. In a 2012 piece for which he apologized, he suggested that the Aurora shooter may have had a connection to the Tea Party.

Hey Joy, That Donald Trump guy is a real oaf ain't he? Oh wait, sorry, that  isn't Donald Trump, that's the Honorable Senator Al Franken who you would surely vote for President if you had the opportunity.

BURN NOTICE

It's embarrassing to admit how little time it took me to plow through 111 episodes of Burn Notice on netflix. Embarrassing enough, that I will not admit it. I will admit only that it took more than a week, and far less than one month. Great show about a spy, Michael Westin, who has been 'burned.' That is cut off from his previous support network and life as a spy.  So if you are looking for some great TV on a cold wintry day, I might suggest that you give Burn Notice a try. Be prepared for some sleep deprivation, as it is very difficult not to watch the 'next' episode. (110 times)

WHAT HAPPENED

Americans have been in the dark for nearly one year. No longer will we have to wonder WHAT HAPPENED.  For a mere, $27.95 one can find out from Hillary Clinton herself exactly WHAT HAPPENED. It's no wonder that the book is 500+ pages. Over the past year, the twice-failed Presidential Candidate has offered a long list of excuses.  This list includes, in no particular order: FBI Director James Comey, John Podesta's pilfered emails, the DNC, the RNC, Bernie Sanders, Vladimir Putin, Steve Bannon, Rush Limbaugh and Anthony's Weiner. Also to blame were Confederate Statues and bad hairdos. There was Talk Radio, Cable News, Regular News, Fox News and Fake News. There was Facebook, campaign misspeaks, editorial critiques and daily Wikileaks. Also, low information voters were partly responsible and high information voters even more responsible But there were also stay-at-home voters, voter suppression, voter fraud and especially insufficient voter fraud. There was also sexism, racism, homophobia, xenophobia, misogyny, voter depravity as well as the earth's gravity. I should include the under-educated, the over-educated and the Electoral College. The loss can also be laid at the feet of the women who failed to support Hillary that now have a special place reserved for them in Hell. (This was according to brilliant deep-thinker Madeleine Albright)  It's all there in Hillary's new book, out today, September 12, 2017: WHAT HAPPENED.

Me? I don't 'buy' these excuses, and I sure as heck ain't going to buy the book. In fact, if someone gives the book to me as a gift, I will immediately donate it to some charity, perhaps the Clinton Global Initiative (I hear good things about them.)

I already know WHAT HAPPENED. And so do you.

If you still think you need this book, WHAT HAPPENED, by Hillary Rodham Clinton here are the details of the book that I lifted from Amazon.com.  You will notice that 'language' is listed as English. My assumption is that this is a typo. I am sure they meant to write: Language: Gibberish.

I did not and I will not be reading this book.
This will not prevent me from offering my no-star review: It's deplorable.
(Now where have I heard that word before...?)

I was busy at two appointments yesterday.  The first was a yarn shop in northwest Indiana to sell some buttons and then I had to scoot back to a suburb south of Chicago to sell some fabric,  There was no time to take any kind of walk prior to sundown. I was undeterred. I went out for a evening walk at 8:00PM and logged six miles.
