I see that I am slowly gaining weight. This is very unpleasant. Losing weight was hard. Keeping it off is just as hard and perhaps harder. This morning, I decided to change the way that I spent my 92 minutes on my home elliptical machine. Recently, I have set the the 'resistance' to '20' for the entire session. This morning, I set the program to 'calorie-burn' in which the highest resistance during the session is 20, but during the 92 minutes the levels of resistance increase and decrease. The workout was seemingly more fun as there were times when I was 'pedaling' much faster than I can at the highest level. I noticed that my calorie burn recorded by the machine was significantly less after the 92 minutes. However, I am convinced that it is important to make some changes in the way that I work out for two reasons. One, I think that the workout can ultimately be more effective, and secondly, it just makes the workout a bit more interesting.

GAS PRICES:
I was very pleased to pay only $1.559/gallon for gasoline while I was in Portage, Indiana. This was the lowest price I can remember paying in a very long time. This purchase was made at 9:32AM.
About 5 hours later, I was in Bowling Green, Ohio... Again, I topped off my tank at a significantly lower price - $1.319.
It is hard to believe that a person can pull up to gas station and buy a GALLON OF GASOLINE for $1.32. One cannot buy a GALLON OF WATER that cheap!
I know that there is a worldwide glut of oil and gasoline right now... but can a gallon of gasoline really be more difficult to bring to market than a gallon of water?
