100 DAYS

By the time that Saturday rolls around, President Donald Trump will be in his 100th day in office. The reason that the first hundred days are typically said to be so important is that there is a presumption that a newly elected president has his most power during this time period. It has been disappointing that Trump and the Republican Congress have so far failed to repeal and replace Obamacare which has been a promise endlessly made and repeated. As far as a major accomplishment to relish was the appointment of Justice Neil Gorsuch. One of the main reasons that Trump was elected by millions of conservatives around America was their belief that Trump would keep his promise and nominate a conservative to the court. This important promise was kept. A presidential term is 1461 days. (I included one leap day in this calculation.) Donald Trump still has at least 1361 days left to keep his promises. If this was a golf game, we'd still be on the first tee. If this was a baseball game, we'd still be in the first inning. If this was a bowling tournament, we'd still be in the first frame. If this was a.... enough already, I know you get the point.

Dad and daughter met Mom at the supermarket for some shopping. Dad and daughter walked 6.67 miles to the market, although we did accept the ride home along with the groceries.
