RECHARGING MY BATTERIES

Friday was a day that I was just about sapped of the desire and ability to exercise.  I somehow managed to log 5 miles of walking on a day that each step was a painful reminder that I might have perhaps overdone it a bit on Thursday when I walked 26 miles. Our family walked back from downtown at 2:00AM in the early morning after some late-night Thanksgiving Day, pre-Black Friday shopping. Much later in the day in an early evening trip running some errands with the family, I ducked out of the car and walked one mile from Costco to meet up with my family at our next stop. I stretched this one mile walk into a three mile trek. Even on a day, when I was mostly trying to recharge by batteries, I managed to log five miles of walking.

Another Saturday and another day to step on the scale. I have not been making any progress for the past few weeks, at least not in the right direction. I keep 'forgetting' to log every chocolate treat that I have enjoyed, although I never fail to log a 10 mile walk. Nevertheless, my weight is 225.3 lbs. (still down 84 lbs nearly two full years after I made the initial decision to change the course of my life) I am convinced that this is no small accomplishment.
