BURNING THE CANDLE AT BOTH ENDS

On Saturday, my day started at 5:00AM with a brisk 6 mile hike in Houston. This was followed by being at a tradeshow from 9:00AM until 6:00PM. This was followed by dinner with colleagues. And this was followed by drinking with colleagues. In my defense, I 'only' had three Dewar's. This is actually quite a lot for someone who can go months between drinks. I hang with a tough crowd. My day ended when I returned to my hotel room after midnight. This is called burning the candle at both ends.
