Netflix is not the best place to discover current popular movies that people might want to see via streaming. Netflix does however have scores of complete seasons of many excellent TV shows. Some shows are from years past. Netflix is also known for their own Netflix Original Series. Many people are very aware of House of Cards and Orange is the New Black. I recently discovered Longmire. During my recent visit to Detroit I had plenty of time in my hotel room to watch a few episodes as my hotel had extremely good wifi. This past weekend, I used my home YMCA which also has excellent wifi. It is not so easy to spend TWO HOURS and FIVE MINUTES on an elliptical machine. However, if one is engaged in a good movie, or good TV show during that time, the elliptical session can breeze by much quicker. Longmire initially had three seasons that aired on A&E. After the third season, A&E cancelled the show and Netflix quickly revived the show. I have exactly one more episode to complete in season 4 and then I will have to wait until next September until Netflix 'drops' the final 10 episodes of season 5. It is so much fun to binge watch a good TV show.... Now I will have a nine month interruption until I can see where the story is heading. It is much more fun to watch a completed series on Netflix as one does not have to wait for the conclusion. It is almost impossible for me to imagine someone watching this series, one episode at a time over the past four years. Sometimes, plot points seemed like they were taking 'forever' to be developed or explained and that was with me binge watching an entire series over the course of two weeks time. Longmire had plenty of intricate plot details and plenty of interesting characters with wild backstories... I highly recommend the series.
