IT'S A GREAT WAY TO START A DAY

Yesterday I had an appointment about two hours away from home scheduled for 2:00PM. I did not return home until close to 9:00PM. Fortunately, I was able to squeeze in a 9 mile urban hike shortly after breakfast and before I departed for Champaign, Illinois.  Since I restarted my daily walking regiment on September 2, I have not missed one day. There have been a few days where my walk might have been as little as three miles, but nevertheless, my two month streak continues unabated. It is amazing how fast time flies by while traversing the landscape at a 'blistering' 4 mph. I remember, when I started walking again about two months ago, I had lost my confidence in my ability and certainly my desire to pursue this low impact exercise. It certainly suits me. Yesterday morning my A.M. Urban Hike was nine miles. It's a great way to start a day.
