CROSSEYED HEART

September 18, 2015.  The Marc Jacobs Weight Loss Journal is providing a public service today.  You are being advised that after nearly one quarter century (23 years),  Keith Richards (aka songwriter/guitarist of the Rolling Stones) is releasing a new album.  These days, I usually prefer to purchase my music electronically.  I have learned that the Best Buy edition of this album will have a bonus track - therefore that is where I am headed today.  I have enjoyed the music of the Rolling Stones and Keith Richards for many, many years.  A day when new music is released by the Rolling Stones or Mick Jagger or Keith Richards is a day to be celebrated.  I have not heard the album yet, although I am sure that that will be corrected long before this day has ended. My appointment schedule has me driving to an account just over the Illinois/Indiana border.  I am sure that it will not be too difficult to find a Best Buy in Indiana to make my purchase.

It must have been a bit of a challenge for the producers of The Pirates of the Caribbean films to make Keith Richards look more like a pirate than he normally does every day anyway.  Ironically, Johnny Depp who plays Captain Jack Sparrow in this film series claims that some of the inspiration for his character came from Keith Richards.    "I started trying to figure out pirates of the 18th century, and sort of what it was all about," he says. "Initially you think money, and all that. I think it also had much more to do with freedom. To be out there, moving forward. So I sort of thought that pirates would be the rock and roll stars of the 18th century, you know? Then, when you think of rock and roll stars, the greatest rock and roll star of all time, the coolest rock and roll star of all time, in my opinion, is Keith Richards. Hands down."  WHO CAN ARGUE WITH THAT?
