I'D WALK A MILE FOR A CAMEL

'I'd walk a mile for a camel' was an advertising slogan used by Camel Cigarettes for decades. The message was that the cigarettes were so good, that it would be worth making an extra trip to secure them. I was thinking about this yesterday as I did manage to walk about one mile in my neighborhood. I was not hunting for Camel Cigarettes. I was just trying to determine how my inguinal hernia would respond. Mostly it was not too uncomfortable. Still, I am taking every step with a bit of trepidation. I will feel better still after I have seen the doctor on Friday and hopefully iron out a plan for this 'elective' surgery. Once I am back up to speed, I still won't be hunting for 'camels' but it will be good to be able to walk a mile (or two, or three, or five) again.
