DAY 3 (of being SERIOUS)

Monday was only Day 3 of being serious about reversing my recent weight gain. The plan was that I would at stay under 1500 calories. It has been extremely difficult. How the heck did I ever 'survive' on a 1000 calorie regiment for four months two years ago? I know people has asked me, and as I remember it, I think I tried to convince myself that I wasn't hungry as much as I really was. Now, I simply have to remind myself for the zillionth time that this is not a race and that it is simply important for me right now to change direction. I think I am going to be far more successful this week than I have been in recent weeks. Now that it is Tuesday, it is as if the week is almost half over... so I next will weigh myself in four days.




I noticed yesterday that my building has (finally) replaced the elliptical machine in the fitness room. So although there is a glittering new machine waiting to be used, on Monday evening this machine had an out-of-order sign on it.  Perhaps it has not been set up correctly just yet. I am looking forward to being able to use an elliptical machine again.
