JUMPED THE SHARK - SPEEDO'S PURCHASED

Jumping the Shark:  I relied on wikipedia.com to explain this phrase:
Jumping the shark is an idiom created by Jon Hein that was used to describe the moment in the evolution of a television show when it begins a decline in quality, signaled by a particular scene, episode, or aspect of a show in which the writers use some type of gimmick in an attempt to keep viewers' interest, which is taken as a sign of desperation, and is seen by viewers to be the point at which the show had strayed irrepairably from its original premise. The phrase is based on a scene from a fifth-season episode of the sitcom Happy Days when the character Fonzie jumps over a shark while on water-skis.
The usage of "jump the shark" has subsequently broadened beyond television, indicating the moment when a brand, design, franchise or creative effort's evolution declines.

Here is Henry Winkler aka 'Fonzi' is some photographic
mashup on skis being pursued by a Great White Shark.

Wait a second... you didn't really think I bought a pair of swim trunks that looked like this, did you?
This guy wearing a Speedo is somewhat famous:
His name is...MARC JACOBS (fashion designer)

I am just having some fun today.... I didn't really 'jump the shark'.  My Speedo's are very normal looking...   What is meaningful to me, is that they are a size 'L' (large)    Prior to December 24th, last year, I would never buy anything that was not XXL (extra extra large) and even that size didn't guarantee that a garment would fit right (or at all)

Sure, they are Speedo's - but they look like a pair of normal gym shorts.

45 minutes workout on an elliptical only burned 270 calories, was this amount understated?
I have done shorter elliptical workouts that have burned 500 calories, are those overstated?
Answer to both questions is likely: Yes
Nevertheless, I will continue to report the calories that each individual machine reports.
